Piccolina releases Uovo di Pasqua just in time for Easter.
Amidst all the craziness in our world at the moment, we are as committed as always to bringing you some joy! This year we have created some very special limited-edition Easter gelato eggs inspired by some of the most loved and traditional Italian desserts.
Your Piccolina Uova di Pasqua has been hand-made by our team of dedicated pastry chefs using only the finest ingredients. Each egg is lovingly hand-wrapped and packaged in a limited edition Piccolina tin.
There are three Uovo di Pasqua to choose from;
Inspired by Ferrerolina Rocher, our best-selling gelato cake. Better than Nutella gelato, puff rice crunch & gianduja ganache centre, covered in dark chocolate with roasted hazelnut. Gluten Free.
Italian mascarpone gelato with chocolate chip, Kahlua & Marsala soaked Savoiardi sponge and coffee crema centre, covered in milk chocolate, dusted with cocoa powder.
Pistacchio gelato with toasted Colomba di Pasqua, soft caramel centre, covered in white chocolate and pistacchio.

Uovo di Pasqua will be available via UberEats so if our customers are worried about leaving the house at this time, we can deliver straight to their home.

To our valued customer
In response to the growing fears around the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), we take this opportunity to reassure you that the entire team at Piccolina are taking extreme and proactive measures in order minimise the risk to our customers and staff in relation to the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Across all our venues we have always implemented extremely high standards of health and hygiene practices and in the current climate, we have reviewed all of our standards and have enforced extreme measures.
Above and beyond our usual high hygiene standards we have implemented the following safety measures:
1. We have placed all Eftpos machines in reach of customers to allow them to tap for payments themselves and we encourage cashless transactions. In addition we have implemented ways to ensure that our
customer service is almost entirely contactless.
2. We are washing our hands regularly and are using hand sanitiser between serving each and every customer.
3. We are ensuring that all table tops, stools, door knobs, bar tops and our benches are cleaned every hour with commercial grade sanitiser.
4. Our bathroom in Collingwood will be closed to the public.
5. We have provided sanitiser for our customers in all of our stores.
6. We have reinforced with all staff members our strict wellness policy that they must stay at home if they are showing any cold or flu-like symptoms and they have been advised to call their doctor or a
hospital emergency department to determine the best course of action. Before returning to work staff are required to produce a doctor’s certificate to show that they are fit and healthy for work.
7. Any staff member that has recently returned from overseas is required to self-quarantine for a 14-day period and will not be allowed to return to work until medically cleared.
8. We have developed a business wide roster which isolates front of house teams of staff by store, kitchen staff, our logistics team, finance team and all managers in order to protect the health and safety
of the staff, customers and the community.
9. For those who don’t wish to come into the store we have home delivery available through UberEats and Deliveroo and we have increased our offering across these platforms.
Our advice comes from discussions with the Department of Health and we will continue to closely monitor the advice and recommendations from expert health organisations and act accordingly.
At Piccolina we are doing all that we can to ensure that your time with us is as safe as possible and we are as committed as always to delivering the exceptional experience you have come to expect from us.
In return we ask that you use responsible behaviour and judgement during these times. If you have a fever, cough or flu-like symptoms, we ask that you stay home and seek medical advice if required.

PANETTONE CON GELATO
Piccolina releases Panettone con Gelato just in time for Christmas.
When it comes to an authentic Italian Christmas, Piccolina Gelateria can help you create the perfect sweet finish to your own rustic Mediterranean feast!
This year our pastry chefs have been tirelessly baking and filling homemade traditional Panettone with our creamy gelato to bring you this quintessentially Italian dessert with an artisan gelato twist. “We have used only the finest ingredients to bake our own preservative-free Panettone, then we hand-fill each one with our freshly churned gelato.” owner Sandra Foti says.
Panettone is a famous Italian Christmas cake made from a sweet buttery dough with candied peel and sultanas. “Baking a Panettone is actually really complex and time consuming. There are no short-cuts and the whole process from start to finish takes over 3 days, so it really is a labour of love.” says Foti.
There are two Panettone to choose from; Panettone Nutella: Traditional Italian Panettone filled with our Better than Nutella gelato and covered in a dark chocolate glaze with roasted hazelnut and topped with a hazelnut truffle. Panettone Vanilla: Traditional Italian Panettone filled with our classic Vanilla gelato and covered in white chocolate and topped with gold pearl crisps, candied orange and a golden cherry topper. Your Panettone con Gelato is then lovingly hand-wrapped in a special edition canvas bag and tied with festive red ribbon.

Piccolina releases Cremino… three layers of pure happiness … just in time for Father’s Day
What do I get Dad for Father’s Day? If you’re stuck for ideas like the rest of us why not surprise Dad this year with a special boxset of Cremino featuring all his favourite flavours! These smooth, creamy, melt-in-your-mouth pieces of perfection are guaranteed to make you the favourite this year.
What is Cremino?
Cremino is a chocolate made of three layers. The outer layers are traditionally made of gianduja and the inner layer is a creamy flavoured paste similar to a ganache. Traditionally, cremino was made using gianduja with layers of either coffee, hazelnut or lemon, but today you can find them in almost any flavour combination.
This year Piccolina have taken it one step further and have created the very first gelato cremino packaged in the ultimate Father’s Day boxset.
The boxset features four special flavours; Cremino Classico: Better than Nutella gelato with an inner layer of milk chocolate ganache covered in milk chocolate with roasted hazelnut. Cremino Pistacchio: Pistacchio gelato with an inner layer of pistachio and white chocolate ganache covered in white chocolate with roasted pistachio. Cremino Torrone: Torrone gelato with pieces of roasted almond and an inner layer of gianduja ganache covered in milk chocolate. Cremino Fondente: Chocolate gelato, Fior di Latte gelato with an inner layer of dark chocolate orange ganache covered in dark chocolate.
Each cremino is a generous 4.5cmx 4.5cm x 3cmH and serves 1 -3. They come individually wrapped in silver foil and packaged in a limited edition Piccolina box.

THE GOLDEN EGG
This year we have hatched a limited-edition Easter gelato cake and we’re egg-cited! Nestled inside a dark chocolate nest sits a gooey Dulce de Lece filled Golden Egg. It sits proudly on a throne of Salted Caramel gelato layered with a chocolate butter biscuit and coated in a milk chocolate velvet spray. This Golden Egg is best eaten cracked!

HOT CROSS BUN GELATO
Hop into Piccolina this Easter and smell the spices
Everyone's favourite Easter treat just got even better with our Hot Cross Bun gelato. To celebrate the season, we have churned up a special creamy gelato infused with classic hot cross bun flavours; nutmeg, cinnamon, sultanas and fresh lemon zest.
Hot cross buns are baked fresh in-house at Piccolina each daily by our team of dedicated chefs, who then create a buttery, sweet and crunchy hot cross crouton that is layered throughout the gelato.
The limited edition flavour is available now available until the end of Easter long weekend.

The Ultimate Australian Dessert
Piccolina releases limited edition Pavlova Trifle Gelato Cake for Australia Day.
To celebrate Australia Day (26 January), Piccolina Gelateria is releasing a limited edition Pavlova Trifle Gelato Cake.
Combining two firm favourites Piccolina has created the ultimate true blue dessert, perfect for a family bbq, picnic or beach day with friends.
The cake will feature vanilla gelato and raspberry sorbet layered with a passionfruit curd and shortbread crumble and topped with toasted Italian meringue and a raspberry gel, all served in a glass trifle bowl.
Piccolina has also created a special Piccolina-heart canvas cooler bag to ensure the cake won’t melt during transportation.

This Christmas, Melbourne’s favourite gelateria, Piccolina, has launched two new gelato cakes in collaboration with LuxBite.

Following the success of the festive ‘Ferrerolina’ in 2017, Piccolina Gelateria and LuxBite have once again joined forces to create not one, but two masterpieces just in time for Christmas. Channelling a snowy European Christmas, the first creation is dubbed the Snowball and the second is a re-imagined Italian favourite crowned Tira-Miss-You.
LuxBite Head Chef, Bernard Chu says, “The success of Ferrerolina has been huge and my brief was to create something to rival that cake. Sandra and the Piccolina team wanted to be pushed to the next level, so this time we’ve incorporated more of my pastry background into this cake. I think we’ve got it”.
“I didn’t really like gelato but Piccolina has changed my mind. I love how they keep it traditional and 100 percent natural. When I deal with good product, we’re already halfway to our goal,” says Chu.
Whether as a treat for the family or a festive gift, the Snowball and Tira-Miss-You will provide the ultimate gelato indulgence.

MELBOURNE’S BEST GELATO COMES TO ST KILDA!
Bayside gelato lovers will be excited to hear that Piccolina Gelateria is opening their 3rd store – this one located in Acland Street St Kilda, the heart of Melbourne’s summer playground.
Piccolina owner and gelato guru, Sandra Foti, says “The lead up to summer is the perfect time to throw open the doors of another beautifully designed Piccolina store! St Kilda is one of Melbourne’s most popular beaches and so it just made perfect sense for us to open there! We love Acland Street for its village feel and it’s always buzzing with positive energy”
No two Piccolina stores can ever be the same. Our new store responds to the street scape and the beachside vibe of Acland street with the facade opening up completely to the street where customers can stand at the bar and bask in the sun while enjoying a sweet treat.
Once again, we’ve worked with the award-winning team at Hecker Guthrie to deisgn the new space. Like our other stores, it echoes 1950s Southern Italy – from the colourways through to the theatre of gelato and the fun packaging, designed by Projects of Imagination.
This store will feature a beautiful servery bench clad in square-cut Italian tiles where deep “pozzetti” hold 20 of our famous gelato flavours & 4 granita flavours. All our gelato is made fresh daily instore from 100% natural ingredients like fresh fruit and freshly roasted nuts. That’s why it tastes so good!!
And Nutella lovers rejoice!! A liquid chocolate fountain with Piccolina’s own home-made nutella sauce will be on tap and running 24/7!!
